Step #1 In order to reset your password, please download the KLAPR.zip archive by clicking on the following link: https://kas.pr/klapr
Step #2 When the download is done, find the archive and right-click on it. Select the option to extract the archive (Preferably save it on your Desktop). When file is extracted, start your computer in Safe Mode. Running the file in Normal mode will not work, because the Self-Defense system of Kaspersky will prevent the removal of the password.
Step #3 Run Safe Mode on Win 10 Important! - If you are using a PIN code to login to your user account instead of a password, please make sure you change your login method back to password before proceeding to Safe Boot mode.
1. Place the point of your mouse over the Start Button and right click on it.
2. From the sub-menu that will appear select Run
3. In the available field of the opened Run command box, type MSCONFIG and press Enter.
4. From the System Configuration box, go to the Boot tab.
5. Under the Boot options section, check the Safe boot checkbox.
6. Click OK, and when prompted, click Restart to start Windows 10 in Safe Mode.
Step #4 Once in Safe Mode, please locate the file KLAPR.bat and double click it to run. The file will Run for a good minute and will remove the password. At the end of the process you will get a message "The operation was successful!"
Step #5 To exit Safe Mode on Win 10
1. Place the point of your mouse over the Start Button and right click on it.
2. From the sub-menu that will appear select Run
3. In the available field of the opened Run command box, type MSCONFIG and press Enter.
4. From the System Configuration box, go to the Boot tab.
5. Under the Boot options section, un-check the Safe boot checkbox.
6. Click OK, and when prompted, click Restart to start Windows 10 in normal Mode.
